We are done and dusted with game 24 of the CPL. Massive result for the Royals as they have picked up their first win. They would be pleased but they still need more wins to keep climbing up on the points table. They would hope it is just the start. And as another week starts, we will keep you updated about every cricketing update. Time for us to bring down curtains on this game. Bye bye...

Rovman Powell: Just a matter of belief. The intensity at the start was really good with the bat. We have lost the toss so many times. Always disappointing when someone is nervous with the ball going up and he is under it. We have some good fielders. Keep supporting us. We know how important it is to represent the Barbados team and the Royals. Simmonds has been our trump card. You need these bowlers as a captain. Hopefully, he can go on for a few more games.

David Wiese: It is a disappointing performance. Always going to be little difficult in the second innings. All about execution. Couple of days before the next game. You just need to better at execution. You are off the mark a little and you will travel as a bowler. Didn't pan out well for us. Day off tomorrow. We have had a tight schedule.

Chris Green, Player of the Match: I had the best seat in the house for Rovman's power. He has had a great tournament with the bat. I just had to chip in. I would be honest, I have been off my game. I tried a little hard. I tried to have fun today. I enjoy the banter with the crowd. I am here to have fun. We have nothing to lose. We have been playing some good cricket. Our fielding has cost us some key moments and some games.

14:45 Local Time, 18:45 GMT, 00:15 IST: The Royals have beaten the Kings by 27 runs. This is a massive result for the hosts. The Kings had already qualified coming into this game but they were outplayed today. The last 3 overs when the Royals were batting made all the difference as that went for 61 runs. The skipper led from the front and played a captain's knock. His cameo set it up for the bowlers. Then while defending it, regular wickets just kept denting the chase for the Kings. Sams, Simmonds and Green picked up 8 wickets between them to set up this win for the Royals. The Royals also fielded better as they held on to their catches and have finally managed to open their account.

19.6

Eathan Bosch to K Pierre, 1 run, that's it. The Royals pocket the first win of the season. Powell looks heavenwards. They are still alive in this season. They have managed to beat the Kings! Was a short ball, angled in, Pierre pulled it but failed to beat the man at short fine

18.5

Daniel Sams to Alzarri Joseph, out Caught by van der Dussen!! Taken by Green. The ball seems to be sticking in his hands today. It is all happening in the right way for the Royals. Enticed a drive from a length delivery outside off and the ball was skied up. The man at cover settled under it and took it easily. Only a wicket away now are the Royals from their first win of the season. Daniel Sams has his third. He has used his experience today to get these wickets Alzarri Joseph c van der Dussen b Daniel Sams 23(14) [6s-3]
